The assault resulted in the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
